Jessica Hylton > Officer List
VP AREA 9
CHAPTER: Miller FFA
HOMETOWN: Avilla, Missouri
COLLEGE: University of Missouri
COLLEGE MAJOR: Business Administration with emphasis in Marketing
My SAE consists of diversified crop production. I grow corn, wheat and soybeans on land that I lease from my father or other farmers.
WHAT MOTIVATED YOU TO WANT TO BECOME A
MISSOURI FFA OFFICER?
All of my experiences in FFA are what really motivated me to want to become a state FFA officer. None of my experiences would have been possible without the encouragement and support of those around me. If I have the chance to make just one FFA member’s experience better, or to give them the encouragement they need, I am going to take it.
WHO IS YOUR HERO AND WHY?
My heroes are my parents. They believed in me and my dreams first, which allows me to now do that for myself. They have always been present in my life, whether I was playing a softball game or being honored at an FFA banquet, and I know that I can always count on them for encouragement.
WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR THE FUTURE?
I plan to obtain my degree in business administration from the University of Missouri, and to also be a part of the Cornell Leadership Program and the Honors College at the university during my time there. I hope to one day attend law school and practice either agricultural or corporate law.
WHAT IS SOMETHING UNIQUE OR INTERESTING THAT FEW PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT YOU?
I have an unhealthy obsession with ranch dressing. There are restaurants that I will not go to just because I don’t like their ranch.
