SAE PROJECT:
My SAE is an entrepreneurial row crop operation in which I grow corn and soybeans on ground that I cash rent from landowners. I also have a placement enterprise where I work on my family’s row crop operation.

WHAT MOTIVATED YOU TO WANT TO BECOME A
MISSOURI FFA OFFICER?

I’ve wanted to become a Missouri FFA Officer since my freshman year of high school, and my first experience at the Missouri State FFA Convention. As I began involving myself more in the organization, I learned that becoming a Missouri FFA Officer was the tool that I could use to have a personal impact on the members in our great state.

WHO IS YOUR HERO AND WHY?
My father is my hero because he is the reason I have a passion for agriculture, and he has taught me everything I know about the industry. I have been blessed to be able to work on our farm with my father, and his knowledge and guidance has helped shape me into the person I am today.

WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR THE FUTURE?
I plan to graduate from the University of Missouri with a degree in Plant Sciences. The knowledge gained from pursuing this degree will allow me to return home to the farm where I can apply my skills to be a positive force for the family operation.

WHAT IS SOMETHING UNIQUE OR INTERESTING THAT FEW PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT YOU?
One of my favorite hobbies is to play golf. I have loved to play golf since my grandpa taught me when I was young. Knowing how to play the sport is a skill I can use for a lifetime, and it’s something I truly enjoy.

ADVICE TO FFA MEMBERS:
My advice to FFA Members is to always work hard and never forget who you are. If you work hard and give all your effort in everything you do, then you will find great success. Always remember who you are and stay true to yourself; people will value you for your true character.
